Metropolitan and County, founded by Martin Hay fca in 1984, is a long established investment and trading group based in North London. We provide business development funding through secured lending or direct equity investment based on the needs of our clients.
Now a family business, Martin was joined by start up veteran and son Fred in 2023.

Real estate
An extensive and ever-changing portfolio of shopping centres, offices and residential properties formed the core of our business over the last twenty years. In the last five years our focus has shifted to commercial properties across London.
Secured lending

The group has a portfolio of equity stakes manged by Rockpool Investments. This allows us to invest in small businesses and use our knowledge and experience to maximise their chance of success.
